WorldQuant University Now Accepting Duolingo English Test

Image

At WorldQuant University, we’re dedicated to making advanced, quality education accessible to capable students everywhere by leveraging technology at scale to deliver entirely online, tuition-free programs. We’re excited to announce that as a part of this mission, we will now be accepting the Duolingo English Test as a part of the MScFE application process. The low cost, online test will make WorldQuant University even more accessible to qualified applicants across the globe.

At $49 USD, the Duolingo English Test results are a fraction of other certification test fees, and applicants are not required to pay additional fees to submit their results to institutions.

As importantly, the Duolingo English Test allows prospective students to prove their English proficiency entirely online, without needing to leave their local communities. Previously, applicants had to take the exam at often-distant physical locations further adding to the financial and logistical hurdles of costly exams. Now, anyone with a computer with a built-in camera, microphone, and secure internet connection can take the hour-long test and receive results within 48 hours.

The majority of WorldQuant University’s students hail from English-speaking countries. With the immediate availability of the Duolingo English Test, and the elimination of the need to be physically present, we expect to continue to increase our enrollment of talented ESL students across the world. We hope that this new test offering affords more qualified students opportunities to advance their career and to strengthen their communities, without the burden of travel or cost.

You can find a list of the full application requirements for the WorldQuant University MScFE program here. Our next cohort application deadline closes June 23, 2020. To learn more about the Duolingo English Test, please visit their website.
