Maurizio Tiso, PhD, is a retired portfolio manager on Wall Street. His academic interests include probability theory and statistics. Nevertheless, he found ways to apply what he learned in academic settings to real life financial problems. He has worked in hedge funds and investment banking, covering several roles. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Fun Fact
For many years, Maurizio was an avid skier and a ski instructor. As he grew older, he devoted himself to less extreme activities. He has recently directed his interest toward Medieval armors and jousting. He has traveled to many places around the world and is especially fond of Hawaii. He is currently learning the Hawaiian language.
