Bio
Yawo Mamoua Kobara, PhD, is an assistant professor in data analytics and statistics at the Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and an instructor at WorldQuant University. He holds a PhD in statistics from Western University (2022), an Master of Science in Financial Engineering from WorldQuant University (2021), a Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences from African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (2017), and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics from the University for Development Studies (2015). Dr. Kobara’s research operates at the intersection of statistical, operational, and machine learning methods applied to social and business challenges with a strong focus on healthcare system flow optimization, financial engineering, and data-driven decision-making in emerging economies. As an educator, he brings a rich quantitative toolkit to the classroom and is committed to equipping students with advanced analytics skills relevant for today’s data-intensive environment.
