Bio

Sergio Garcia, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Finance at CUNEF University. He holds a PhD in Finance (cum laude) from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and a MSc in Finance from the same institution. In the past, he held positions as Assistant Professor in Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), Visiting Assistant Professor in Universitat de les Illes Balears (2018-2020), and a Visiting Scholar at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania (2016). Since 2018, he also regularly collaborates with the MSc in Financial Engineering program at WorldQuant University.

Sergio played tennis competitively from ages 5 to 17. "Now," he says, "as any other frustrated tennis player, my hours on the court are devoted to padel, a sport much more benign to your body, and definitely less frustrating."
