At WorldQuant University, Your Privacy is Our Priority

Now, more than ever before, we’re seeing a privacy and security movement ripple across the globe. Companies, nonprofits and government agencies are all expected to better protect users’ data, and in turn, their security.

Whether you look at the groundswell of consumer awareness around Internet privacy, or the fast approaching enactment of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the connected world is rethinking how we treat personal data today and into the future. We’re going to go through that very same process at WorldQuant University, knowing our campus will become safer, stronger and more robust than ever before.

In that spirit, we’re using this moment as an opportunity to reexamine our own privacy and security policies and ensure that we’re doing everything we can to create a safe and secure learning experience for our students. At WorldQuant University, we believe maintaining our students’ privacy and security is our duty, and must always be our priority. To live up to that mandate, we must first assess where we are today.

In the coming months we’ll be conducting a systems-wide assessment of our privacy and security apparatus, ranging from technology to policy. At minimum, we will be rolling out a new privacy policy that strengthens protection of student data and secures the integrity of our digital campus. We will continue to update students as our assessment and approach evolves, as communication is essential for this initiative to be successful.

If you’re interested in learning more about WorldQuant University’s current privacy policy, you can review it here.
