NEW YORK, NY – NOVEMBER 29, 2016

WorldQuant University, the first tuition-free, online Master’s degree program in Financial Engineering, has been awarded the 2016 Dive Award: Startup of the Year by Education Dive, a leading education news publisher. This announcement closely follows the university announcing its Commitment to Action at the 2016 Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Annual Meeting in New York City.

The 2016 Dive Awards recognize the industry’s top disruptors and innovators. Education Dive solicited suggestions for title nominees from its 29,000 readers and from a panel of industry insiders. The winners were chosen by the editors of Education Dive based on resonance and industry impact.

“In a climate in which affordability is king, the idea of a tuition-free completely online master’s degree program is certainly one deserving of recognition. It’s global focus and emphasis on providing access to education even in rural areas makes the university one to watch, as a potential competitor in an ever-changing marketplace.” said Autumn Arnett, editor, Education Dive.
