WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 30, 2026)—WorldQuant University (WQU) launched the Global Alumni Ambassadors program today as part of ongoing efforts to expand alumni services and build deeper connections among lifelong learners. The inaugural group of volunteers includes 232 Global Alumni Ambassadors in 53 countries.

“Over 25,000 learners across 150 countries—tuition-free. Our Global Alumni Ambassadors are proof of our mission's impact,” WorldQuant University CEO John Endrud said. “Their dedication to carrying that mission forward is how we'll expand our reach to benefit more talent and their communities.”

The top five countries with the highest number of Global Alumni Ambassadors are Nigeria with 62, Kenya with 16, India with 13, Ghana with 10, and the United States and Zimbabwe with nine each. WorldQuant University has over 25,000 learners in more than 150 countries and will continue to expand the Global Alumni Ambassadors program in additional locations annually.

“Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do,” said Gbemi Disu, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships at WorldQuant University. “Our alumni are not just graduates, they are the driving force behind our partnerships. Whenever we enter a new market or engage prospective partners, we begin by activating our alumni network on the ground. Their connections, insights, and leadership are foundational to expanding our impact worldwide.”

Global Alumni Ambassadors will participate in a variety of value added activities including but not limited to; information sessions with prospective learners, mentor active learners, supporting learner recruitment, contributing to social media discourse and content development and  contributing to institutional fundraising efforts.

In the next phase of the program, WorldQuant University will establish alumni chapters in countries around the world and select Global Alumni Ambassadors to lead these groups. Chapter events will include in-person mixers, forums, and other professional development activities.

“Our alumni continue to amaze me,” said Charlotte Gueye, Alumni Relations Manager at WorldQuant University. “They are lifelong learners, leaders in their fields, and examples of dedication. We look forward to the increased global impact as we continue to expand and strengthen the network.”
