Bio

Christos Koutkos is a mathematician fascinated by patterns—whether in data, markets, or abstract ideas. His work explores econometrics and financial markets with a particular interest in high-frequency data and the behavior it reveals. He values persistence and curiosity, and he is most engaged when working through challenging problems that connect theory with practice. In recent years, he has become especially interested in how artificial intelligence can help society detect and interpret complex market structures. In his teaching, he emphasizes mathematical clarity, critical thinking, and the excitement of discovery—the sense that mathematics is not just a tool, but a way of seeing and understanding the world.
